NOC Joins LA Ratify ERA at State Capitol

Women in white gathered at the Capitol to support Senator J.P. Morrell's bill SCR2 to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. Senator Morrell was keeping his promise to Felicia Kahn to reintroduce the bill after it failed to reach the floor in 2017. The event, sponsored by LA Ratify ERA, drew women to the capitol from all over the state to rally behind the Senate and the House bill, HCR1, authored by Representative Robby Carter to ratify ERA. Surprise guest was Ellie Smeal, President of NOW.
